U2: fans spend up to R$ 1,400 to attend the three shows in Brazil

What the love of a band can get someone to do? Camping days before the show outside the stadium, facing rain, abstain from bathing and eating healthy. Is all this worth it? For Alexia (fictitious name), it is worth. The physical education teacher declined to be identified because the name in sick without telling the boss to get a good spot near the stage.

"I escaped the boss," he says. She was one of the top 20 in the queue began to form on Tuesday (5) for the Saturday show (9). There are four nights sleeping on the sidewalk, eating snacks and at the mercy of the weather.

But, wait. This account is only for the first gig. Alexia, but also assist the other two, on Sunday (10) and Wednesday (13). In total, more than a week "living on the street, inside a tent for two people.

Only with presentations by the Irish group in Sao Paulo, Alexia estimates it will spend at least $ 800. "It was only R $ 660 tickets. There you have the expenditure on food to make lunch. Simple things," she explained.

The sisters Vanessa and Juniane and Almeida da Silveira, the first in line for the shows on Saturday (9) and Sunday (10), consumed a greater amount of money to see firsthand the idols of the three U2 dates. "We spend on average $ 1,400 per person. We bought the tent, mattress, tickets. Is the food too," says Vanessa.

Argentina
The previous week, U2 performed in La Plata, Argentina. And Alexia was there. Accompanied by boyfriend, who is also a fan, the teacher was behind the band that likes so much. "It was the first show of my life," he says with emotion. "A dream come true," he adds.

All very nice, very beautiful, but for this we need to spend some money. The amount, as you can imagine, it was not low. If at a show in the city you live in is not cheap, think about going out to another country only for a concert. "They were $ 600 tickets, $ 350 ticket, $ 200 hotel. All in all, spent roughly $ 1,500, estimated.

Family
Besides the figures are high, there is also another factor that hinders the marathon of concerts and camps: the family. Juniane mind that, although her husband does not like much that she spends days living in a tent on the street, preventing it from realizing his dream. "The only thing he complains that it is my tietagem with Bono," he says with a laugh. Besides her two teenage sons, one 15 and another of 17, also attend the presentation on Saturday.

Vanessa also has support from her husband. "In 2006 he came. This time he did not come, but my mother comes," he says excitedly. "It feels crazy, but supports me all the time," he says. At night, the teacher has to spend in your home, sees her son and returns to stand in line.

Alexia, meanwhile, does not face this problem. Her boyfriend is also a fan of Irish rock band. The two went together to Argentina and as soon as possible, he will join the camp on the sidewalk in the beloved's Morumbi stadium.

San Antonio
Besides being a rock band and pop's most profitable market today, U2 makes their beaks of St. Anthony. It was because of the passion for the band that Alexia and her boyfriend met, just over two years. "We are part of the fan club and Ultra Violet, in celebration of ten years of his birthday, we went to a bar in Vila Madalena district of São Paulo this. There we met and we are boyfriends since then," he explains - and sighs.
