Jack Hody Johnson was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, May 18, 1975 and grew up in North Bay on Oahu, also in Hawaii, and currently lives in Haleiwa. Before launching heralbum debut album, Jack Johnson made surf films.
Jack was closer to the music at 17, when they participate in a surfing competition,suffered an accident that left him 90 days off. During this period he began to composeinfluenced by idols like Bob Marley.
He studied film in California at age 18, did not want to be a professional surf, so I decided to study film.
Encouraged by friends as Ben Harper who appointed him to a major label, herecorded his first album, Brushfire Fairytales in 2001 and since then has gainednotoriety worldwide. Meanwhile, Jack still recorded their album, and today he isconsidered the best singer in the surf.
